Red Window

I am always looking for the small quiet areas to paint. This was a beautiful arrangement of potted flowers that begged me to paint it. (6x6)

Lily Number Three

I can't stop painting these lilies. I have certainly gotten my money's worth from this bunch.I just love the shapes and different shades of "white".(8x8) on panel

Open Window

I am drawn to windows and doors when choosing something to paint. This caught my interest because of the contrast of the straight lines with the curvy plants and flowers.

Closer

The lilies have survived another day. What is so surprising about painting white subjects--there are so many colors in the whites. Definitely a brain exercise to paint them (8x8)

White Lilies

I bought these white lilies today to use at a birthday celebration. I had been a little weary of painting this morning, but as soon as I saw this arrangement in an old blue jar that had belonged to my father- I had to paint the beautiful flowers!

Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea are beautiful. The color is so bright that they seem almost artificial.i like them contrasted with sedate architecture.(12x12)

Sunday Brunch

I loved the outdoor cafes in Europe. In the summer people sit over coffee or a meal for hours. No one tries to hurry customers or "turn tables"

Mason Jar Blooms

I have several glass vases but I always seem to gravitate to the clear or blue mason jars to paint. No matter what flowers are put in them; they always complement the picture.

Tuscan Corner

This is another small slice of life in Tuscany. It seems that around every corner is a small pocket of beauty.

Napa Vineyard View

I loved the countryside in the Napa Valley. I must have taken fifty photos the day we visited.Of course I took artistic license to make the view more abstract
