Rose Parade

We deliver Meals on Wheels on Wednesdays for the last 11 years. I have noticed among the clients that roses are the flower of choice for many of them.The last client of the day is Mr. Brown. He is a charmng older man who has two little white dogs as companions. Surrounding his wide front porch are several red rose bushes; the old fashioned kind. We complimented him on the first blooms this week and he told us to just wait a few weeks and there will be hundreds. He didn't say but I am thinking there is a sentimental connection to the lovely lady in the photo in his living room. She is no longer here but I would guess he sees her in those roses.
