Oh Zinnia!

I absolutely love zinnias! Of course I say that about a million other flowers. That is like I say " that is one of my top 5 songs" and my husband says--really? You have only 5 top songs? I have to admit my song list and flower list would take several pages to list. I think of zinnias as the steady country cousin. Always beautiful and what you see is what you get.

California Flowers

San Diego has the perfect climate for beautiful flowers. This was an entrance to a house; ordinary by California standards but breathtaking to visitors.

Methodist Flowers

There is a beautiful flower arrangement near the door on the lower level of our church, I took a photo of the arrangement. This is one of the paintings I did of it. Of course it looks very different from the subject matter. I sometimes try to paint things exactly as they are but most often I edit as I go along.

Window in Avignon

I took a lot of photos when we went to France. The ones I like best are those taken on a sunny day showing a lot of shadows on the buildings.
