Conservatory

The interior of the conservatory at Longwood Gardens is breathtaking; especially in the winter.Beautiful flowers thrive there. Children and adults can enjoy a fun children's garden.This is a watercolor (15x22)

Garden Stairs

I recently went to my friend's backyard. She has been cultivating azaleas for many years and the yard is gorgeous in the spring. There are many paths and steps to wander and I was anxious to paint the scene.

Farmer's Market

I went to a Farmer's Market in a small town in Maine.this woman was selling flowers from her garden. I don't know why I attempted to add the truck in the background-- I have painted very few vehicles. I do think it turned out okay!

Lilac Basket

Lilacs are a favorite of mine. Since moving back to the south, I really miss them. No perfume can recreate that wonderful scent.

Tulips are abundant this time of year. These particular blooms are especially beautiful. The warmth of the two colors complement each other.

Geraniums

This was a potted plant that was mainly geraniums. It had just enough of other plants added to make it more interesting. I would like to try it again with oils.

Coronado Gate

Coronado Island near San Diego must have the perfect climate for growing flowers.I spent a lot of time roaming the neighborhoods taking photos. This scene was a favorite.

Marsha's Sunflowers

We visited my sister-in-law near San Francisco last summer.She was decorating tables for a luncheon using sunflowers. These were some of the leftovers sitting on her table and I took lots of pictures.Something about sunflowers always draws me in.
